MFS Social Security: Preparing for Retirement Webinar

Description

Social Security claiming strategies can be more complex than many retirees initially expect, and the decisions made around timing can have a lasting impact on overall retirement income. This seminar explores key claiming considerations, including when to begin benefits, how claiming decisions may affect spouses or survivors, and how Social Security fits into a broader retirement income plan. It also highlights the importance of evaluating these choices in the context of other financial factors, such as investment assets, taxes, healthcare costs, and long-term income needs. By working with investment and tax professionals, clients may be better equipped to understand their options, avoid common missteps, and make more informed decisions that support their retirement goals.
